That time
of the year that Nigerian emerging music artistes have been waiting for is
finally here. It’s the 2017 edition of Top
Naija Music Awards – Nigeria’s No 1 Music Award For Emerging Artistes.
The
2017 Top Naija Music Awards Programme will has kicked off with the submission
of entries. Submission of entries ends on August 31, 2017.
REQUIREMENTS
FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE 2017 EDITION OF THE AWARDS. (READ EVERYTHING IN
DETAIL)
(ITEM
1) Only artistes whose songs or videos were released between November 1, 2016
and August 31 2017 can submit their songs or videos for possible nomination.
(ITEM
2) Artiste should make sure that the songs or videos they are submitting are on
blogs. The blog should have been functioning for at least one year and must
contain the artiste's bio, art work and download link or link to video.
(Naijapals,
Waptrick, Hulkshare, My.notjustok, datafilehost, kiwi, soundcloud etc are not
blogs so they can't be submitted except where Item 3, option 1 is concerned.)
NOTE:
If you are submitting at least 5 links from Good Music Blogs, you don't need to
fulfill the next requirement below. But if you are submitting less than 5 blog
links, then you need to fulfill the requirements stated in ITEM 3 below. We are
doing this to let upcoming artistes know that music is a serious business.
Promotion is key. Its not just about jumping into studios and recording songs.
We are not choristers. We are music artistes. We are entertainers.

3) For upcoming artistes whose songs/videos are not yet on at least 5 good
music blogs, or topnaijamusic.com
or top naija music radio, choose any of the 2 options given below after
submitting your form to activate your entry submission. (IF YOU NEED ANY

God's grace, this year's edition will hold on Dec 16, 2017 at Oriental Hotel,
Lekki Express Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, while the nominees party will hold
on Saturday October 28, 2017 at VirginRose Resorts, Bishop Oluwole Street,
Victoria Island, Lagos.
