Jealous Girlfriend, 21 Who Pretended To Be A Cop For Two Years To Control And Ban Her Ex From Seeing Other Women Is Jailed
A jealous
girlfriend who posed as a fake police officer for more than two
years to control her ex-boyfriend and ban him from seeing other women has been
jailed.
According to a
Police report, Jilted Lauren Adderley, 21, used "sophisticated catfish
style behaviour" to manipulate her former partner Mitchell Lloyd, 22,
following a short fling in 2014. She made him
believe he was subject to curfews, which restricted him from going to certain
places and seeing other women.
The court
heard that it ‘completely ruined’ his social life. Adderley of
Telford, Shropshire, pretended to be various officers to stop Mr. Lloyd from
seeing his own friends as well as other girls and threatened him with legal
action if he did not comply.
The
21-year-old would also pretend to be her own friends and chastise him for
seeing women when he tried to start up new relationships. Shrewsbury
Crown Court heard the former administrations assistant who lost her job had
entered into a brief sexual relationship with Mr. Lloyd in September 2014. But the young
man broke it off two months later after she told him she had previously been
the victim of a crime.
She asked
whether he would be willing to provide a statement of the offence, at which
point she started to take on the persona of the police officer ‘Robert Hay’ Between
December 2014 and February 13 this year, Adderley persistently contacted her
victim using three email addresses belonging to fictional officers. She also
created two fake Facebook accounts pretending to be her own friends, and used
them to repeatedly criticise him for engaging in relationships with other
girls.
At one stage,
when Mr. Lloyd started seeing a colleague from the store he worked at, Adderley
grabbed a pair of scissors and told him: ‘That she would kill herself, and it
would be his fault’. The next day,
a fake officer told him to immediately end the relationship, before Laura
herself texted him to say: ‘No one can ever love you like I love you x.’
Her former
lover said he was left feeling ‘terrorised’, and became ‘isolated from his
friends and depressed’. He eventually
went to report the issue to the police in February of this year after confiding
in work mates. Prosecuting
officer, Dafydd Roberts, told the court ‘On one occasion, Mr. Mitchell wanted
to take own mother and his young daughter out for lunch.
‘They attended
a public house together. However, he received an email from Robert Hay saying
that he was breaking an order by doing so, and was threatened with a sanction.
‘He was told
that he could be fined around £3,000 for wasting police time, and that he would
be fined around £15,000 if Laura Adderley’s case did not succeed.’
The court was
told that after a while Mr. Lloyd received an email from another police
officer, ‘Darren Clarke’.The officer
claimed they had taken over the case due to Robert Hay’s personal connection to
Ms. Adderley, and the same pattern continued. Another
fictitious person, ‘Elaine Thomas’ who was supposedly a senior police officer,
then took over the case. Genuine
officers were immediately able to deduce that the emails were fake, and traced
them back to Adderley.
Adderley who
was later arrested, admitted to impersonating a police officer and stalking.
She was jailed on Friday for nine months at Shrewsbury Crown.

Nigeria Vs Cameroon: What Buhari said about Super Eagles 4 – 0 victory
President Muhammadu
Buhari has congratulated Nigeria’s Super Eagles on their victory over the
Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium,
Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Buhari said he was joining millions of
football-loving Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora in applauding the team
for their victorious outing over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
President Buhari noted
that with the exhilarating victory, “Nigeria is on the verge of qualification
for the World Cup in Russia 2018.”
He called on the players to sustain the momentum
as they approach the crucial second leg of the tie in Yaounde, on Monday.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adeinsa in a
statement said, “The President enjoined Nigerians who always see football as a
unifying platform, to continue to pray and support the team to guarantee
victory next week and make qualification doubly sure.
“He also commended the Akwa Ibom State Government
for its continued support and provision of excellent hosting facilities.”
Biafra: What Will Happen To Nigeria If I’m Rearrested – Nnamdi Kanu Dares Buhari
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi
Nnamdi Kanu has vowed that Nigeria will burn if the Federal Government goes
ahead to re-arrest him.
Kanu was reacting to the recent moves by the
Nigerian government to arrest him for breaching his bail condition.
Speaking with Sun, the
IPOB leader said he would resist every attempt to silence him, arguing that he
has not committed any offence that could lead to his rearrest.
He said,
“I don’t care! Quote me verbatim. If I’m
re-arrested, this country will burn, I assure you. From where that oil money
they depend on, they can no longer have access to it. I assure them that. This
is not empty threat. We’re IPOB, we don’t abandon our own.
“I will
sacrifice anything, including my family to ensure that Biafra is
restored. Any obstacle on my way will be obliterated. I’m not asking for
Sokoto; I’m not asking for Kaduna, or Borno, I said this very land where my
progenitors raised us; the land of our ancestors; of over 5, 000 years old,
this land must be free, absolutely free, I assure you of that. The way we were
before the whiteman came; had the white man not come, I would have no
relationship with Sokoto, non-whatsoever.
“The whiteman
is not God, only God can create a nation, Lord Luguard is not God, only God can
create a nation. I can tell you the day Nigeria was created even till the exact
second and hour, but you can’t tell me when Biafra was
created. It came as a result of organic interaction of cultures and value
systems and traditions fussed into one to make Biafra a
possibility, that is how nations emerge.
“By the collision of commonalities and value systems, not one idiot somewhere
pontificating and dictating to us who should be in a country or not. Other
African people can accept it, Nnamdi kanu cannot accept that.
“The whiteman is not God and cannot create a
country for me. Have Nigerians sat round the table to say we have agreed that
our name is Nigeria? We want to live together; perhaps, there will be a strong
argument against what I’m proposing. Right now, what we are seeking to do is go
back to where we were before 1914. From there, we can then begin to negotiate
and discuss.”
Biafra: Fani-Kayode Warns Buhari Against Deployment Of Soldiers To Re-Arrest Nnamdi Kanu
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned against
the deployment of soldiers
and police to the South East and South South, in a bid to arrest
leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),
Nnamdi Kanu.
In a series of posts on Twitter on Saturday,
Fani-Kayode claimed Kanu was bigger than President Muhammadu Buhari.
He tweeted: “I learnt that more soldiers and police have been deployed to the
SE and SS to prepare for the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.
“For the final time, I urge the FG to be
restrained. You cannot fight 2 wars on 2 fronts all at once. Nnamdi Kanu is
bigger than Buhari. He is a real lion.”
The Nigerian Police said it had increased the
numerical strength of their personnel in the South-East and South-South zones
of the country.
According to
the police, this was in a bid to prevent a breach of the peace, which may result
from the activities of Biafran
agitators ahead of the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.
The police also said it was waiting for court pronouncement for the arrest of
the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB,
Nnamdi Kanu.
Super Eagles Players To Receive N20m For The Four Goals They Scored Against Cameroon During Yesterday's Match- Solomon Dalung Says
Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has applauded
the Super Eagles for their massive 4-0 triumph over visiting Indomitable Lions
of Cameroon in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match played at the Godswill
Akpabio Stadium in Uyo yesterday September 1st.
A statement
released from his office, says the Senior men's national team will receive
N20million for the 4 goals scored, after the federal government promised
to reward every strike with N5million during a pep talk before the game.
Dalung thanked
the Nigeria Football Federation and the team for not letting Nigerians down knowing
the importance of qualifying for the World Cup in Russia next year.
"The
Nigeria Football Federation has been on its toes to ensure that he Super Eagles
qualify for the next World Cup. You worked very hard for this victory and
Nigerians are proud of you for always raising the flag when it matters
most. We know the consequences of not being at the World Cup in Russia in
2018. We determine the pulse of African sports and set the tune and agenda for
Africa in global sports so it is very key and critical to us. Moreover, the
absence of Nigeria at any international competition always denies the world of
the pattern, style and tradition of the Nigerian variety of football so we will
be going to Russia with another different pattern and style of football."
The Minister
called on football stakeholders and Nigerians to continue to support the
players with their prayers and objective criticisms.
"The
federal government will continue to support our players because they have been
making so many sacrifices for the country. There is nothing we can do to
compensate them for what they have done except to continue to appreciate and
celebrate them in this critical journey to Russia.
Nigeria now
top Group B with 9Pts and will face Cameroon again on Monday at the Stade Omnispirts
Ahmadu Ahidjo in Yaoundé at 6pm.

Police Place IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Under Surveillance To Prevent Him From Fleeing Once His Bail Condition Gets Revoked
The Nigerian Police Force has reportedly placed the leader of
Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu,
under surveillance. According to reports, this is to prevent him from fleeing
the country, thereby stopping his re-arrest once the Federal High Court in
Abuja grants the Federal government's wish to revoke his bail.
Recall that
the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar
Malami, last week, wrote an application to the court asking for Kanu's bail to
be revoked. The federal government in the application said the
secessionist group leader has repeatedly flouted his bail conditions.
Kanu in his
reaction has said that anyone who plans to rearrest him will die.
However, the
police seem to be undeterred by his threats as they have reportedly placed him
under surveillance to prevent him from fleeing the country once his bail is
revoked.
The police has
also reportedly increased the number of its officers in the South East and
South South regions. The move is to help prevent any breakdown of law and order
following IPOB's threat to disrupt the Anambra state November 18th governorship
election if they don't get a referendum for the creation of Biafra.
Among the
police officers that have been increased in the South South and South East are
those in the Counter-Terrorism unit, the Intelligence unit and the conventional
policemen.
Usher’s Herpes Accuser Claims He's Hiding His Assets To Prevent Him From Coughing Out $20m If He Loses The Case
The woman suing Usher $20
million for allegedly giving her genital herpes, is now accusing the star of
hiding his assets.
Recall that in
July, the woman only identified as Jane
Doe claimed she contracted the disease after she had sex with the
singer earlier this year. Read here
Now, TMZ
reports that she believes Usher is transferring his wealth to others so it can
not be touched in the event he has to pay out to satisfy the lawsuit. Although, she
has no evidence if he's doing that, but she fears he's trying a play a fast one
on her.
In legal
documents seen by TMZ, the woman's lawyer Lisa West claims the R&B star's
behavior is suspicious because he delayed the discovery process in the lawsuit
by 90 days.
They believe
he did so because he didn't want to disclose his assets during the discovery
phase so he'd have more time to hide them.
However,
sources connected with Usher say that the claims are pure “nonsense”.
Last month,
Usher also defended himself after one Quantasia
Sharpton accused him of exposing her to herpes during a hotel
rendezvous. The singer rather explained that during the alleged encounter he was
too busy falling in love with his now wife, Grace
Miguel.
